The James Bowie Pirates got the jump on their rival Maud Cardinals last night in the first game of their best-of-three series at Texas High.

The two local teams are challenging each other to advance to the next round of the State UIL baseball playoffs and a Regional Quarterfinal crown.

On Thursday night, The Pirates took Game One of the series, as a walk in their half of the 7^th inning gave them the walk-off win at 5-4.
