City of DeKalb updates health emergency declaration

The governing body of the City of DeKalb met in a special meeting Thursday night, and extended their recently issued declaration of a health emergency.

The declaration reads:

CITY OF DE KALB, TEXAS
MAYORAL DECLARATION OF LOCAL STATE OF DISASTER
DUE TO PUBLIC HEALTH EMERGENCY

WHEREAS, beginning in December 2019, a novel coronavirus, now designated SARS-CoV2 which causes the disease COVID-19, has been declared a global pandemic by the World Health Organization; and
