A police chase from Texarkana to New Boston over the last weekend was followed by a standoff downtown, before officers on the scene physically removed the suspect freom the vehicle ending the ordeal.

Texarkana, Texas police arrested Robert Jackson, Jr, 50, of Texarkana AR on Saturday night.  He was charged with Evading Detention with a Vehicle, Resisting Arrest, and Driving While Intoxicated.  He remains in the Bi-State Jail with a $60,000 bond.
