Northeast Texas and Bowie County will be spared the brunt of Hurricane Laura’s broad path of destruction today.

The powerful Category 4 hurricane made landfall around 1 a.m. with devastating results. The area around Lake Charles, Lousiana and the surrounding coast bore the greatest impacts of the storm.
