Arnold Barto “Big Dad” Barfield, Jr.  was born April 27, 1931 to Barto and Ione Barfield, and became an angel for the Lord on Monday, February 15, 2021, peacefully at home with his beloved wife holding his hand.
 Arnold attended New Boston High School, graduating in 1948. He then attended Texas A&M from 1948-1951. He enlisted in the US Army in 1951 and returned to A&M in 1953, graduating in 1955 with an agriculture and economics degree. He was a Captain in the Texas National Guard...
