Creating self-motivated learners at Kinder Elite

Creating self-motivated learners at Kinder Elite

What originally started by two young mothers looking for better child care in 2011, has grown into what is now the Kinder Elite Academy, a childcare facility dedicated to creating self motivated learners.

Kinder Elite Co-founder, Meagan Grant said, “Kinder Elite Academy began back in August of 2011. My sister, Shay Bagley and I were public school teachers and we both had small children who were about to enter pre-K4. That same year Texas passed a law that Pre-K 4 in public schools would no longer be funded by the state. My sister and I decided to quit our public school jobs and open our very own preschool so that our kids would have a place to go and learn. We became a licensed Child Care Program in the state of Texas in 2011.

Grant went on to say, “The goal of the KEA Pre-K program and its curriculum is for the children to get along with others and to become enthusiastic self-motivated learners. It’s our mission that preschool children will become independent, self-confident, curious learners who can work well with others. We want to teach them to learn, not just in preschool, but also all through their lives”, Grant explained. “This will be accomplished by creating purposeful and productive play experiences that help children grow in all areas.” Grant began to explain the secret to the success of Kinder Elite.
