Lies and fraud continue in Parker trial

Lies and fraud continue in Parker trial

The penalty phase is well underway in the Taylor Parker capital murder trial, and as ADA Kelley Crisp promised in opening statements, it does in fact, get worse.

Jurors heard from a Titus Regional Medical Center neurologist who testified that Parker was angry with him when he told her there was no evidence she’d had a stroke and that she did not meet the criteria for a multiple sclerosis diagnosis. Under cross examination, however, the doctor did say that he could not rule out the possibility that she could be in the process of developing the chronic central nervous system disease.

The father and stepmother of Parker’s son told of the inconsistent nature of Parker’s visits with her son, and how hard it has been on the young boy to know he will never see his mother again. The stepmother said that the child does not want to read letters Parker sends him from jail, and they put them away for the day he is ready to read them.
