It would be easy for me to start this off with the obligatory words about the new year coming with the usual thoughts about resolutions and a better way of living, but my heart has been stirred lately to call more for a resurrection than a rejuvenation.
It is very possible that the words you are about to read are really just for me, but it is my belief that God doesn’t often work that way. Every week before I sit down to type these words, I pray. I ask Him to put the words in my fingers and for these words to be His and not mine. For me to sit here and type this out, I have to believe that he hears me and that these really are His words, and I am just the catalyst to get them onto paper.
With that in mind, I believe with all my heart that 2023 is a year that strongly needs all of us to challenge ourselves to do more for Him. While I am not one who will ever try to say that He is coming back any certain time, I do believe that day when the clouds will part, and the trumpet will sound is coming soon. I believe in my heart that it is time for the dry bones to rattle and come alive. I believe that He is calling us, His children, to do more to see more come to Him.
