In association with the Adopt-A-Highway state program, The West Bowie County Rotary Club kicked off it’s yearly trash pickup along Highway 8 South of New Boston, Tx. on Febru- ary 4th, 2023. We picked up 29 bags of trash, some fiberglass siding, two old tires, and one TXDOT road-work sign. We had 15 volunteers help with the pickup. Our next pickup is scheduled for April 1st, 2023 to coincide with the annual Tex- as Trash Off effort. (https://www.dontmesswithtexas.org/ get-involved/trash-off/) The WBC Rotary Club meets weekly at noon on Wednesdays at the New Boston Church of Christ’s multipurpose room.
