school board elections was last Friday, and while many races will be uncontested, a few drew opponents. We will cover the election in its entirety and have upcoming candidate profiles, but this article will focus on the munic-information that was available at press time.
New Boston ISD will cancel their elections, as incumbents Kyle Irwin and Jason Reid did not draw opponents.
The city of New Boston, however will see all three open city council spots with contested races. Incumbent Rob Carr will face off against Phillip Warren for Place 1, while in Place 4, incumbent Sue Anderson will be challenged by Jeffrie Thompson, and Mike Foster will run against incumbent Jackie Laney in Place 5.
