On Sunday February 26th, 2023 Red Bayou Global Methodist Church was filled to capacity with some watching from the doorways as Reverend John R. Barfield gave his final sermon before retirement.

Barfield started his journey in the ministry over 63 years ago and the gathering at Sunday’s service was evidence of the lives he impacted during that time.
