The Bowie County Master Gardeners, in partnership with Buchanan First Baptist Church (3635 Buchanan Loop Road, Texarkana) will be hosting a FREE Backyard Basics Workshop on Saturday, March 11th.
Registration begins at 8:30 AM and the program will last from 9:00 AM until 11:00 AM. The topics for the workshop are: Starting a Vegetable Garden and Raising Your Own Eggs. Vegetable Gardening is a great hobby that is combines exercise, fresh air, and good nutrition all in one activity. Start a garden, spend time outdoors, and bring inside fresh fruits and vegetables to make a healthy meal for your family. Time invested in a backyard garden can save you money at the grocery store.
Raising Your Own Eggs can be a fun hobby that delivers good, wholesome protein in return.
