Growing up in a family of 17, James Germany said his mother inspired him to spread love.
“My mother taught us love. You love everybody regardless of how they treat you, regardless how they feel about you. Love is key,” Germany said.
He has shared that love with the residents of DeKalb and beyond through his many years of volunteering and service to the community. And his lifetime of service was recognized with an award from Ponderosa Nursing Home. The nursing home closed its doors before they could publicly recognize Germany.
