The Bowie County Commissioners Court unanimously approved an action Monday that would help locate lost adults and children suffering from certain cognitive impairments.
Bowie County Sheriff Jeff Neal and Terrie Arnold, executive director of the Alzheimer Alliance of the Texarkana Area, Inc., spoke before the court on the benefits of approving the adoption of Project Lifesaver. This will be a joint initiative with the Texarkana, Texas, Police Department.
“We’ve all been touched by someone with this and it’s something that law enforcement is dealing with on a regular basis,” Neal said.
