Does peace elude you? If I’m honest, it happens to me, and life does get hard, and peace can seem out of reach. At times, it’s as if I’m drowning from the weight of unresolved and heavy situations circling above my head, and yes, they’re often out of my control. Thus I wander, search for peace, and go places to escape the weight, like a city park.
Recently, while walking a trail, I took my camera and noticed an egret feeding in the marshy water across the pond. His white body and long neck grabbed my attention. He was beautiful standing in the green marsh, a peaceful sight.
The bird flapped his wings and flew to another location while I snapped images of him on my Canon. His wings were wider than I expected, feathered and appearing soft. He was grand and strong and floated through the air. And for a moment, I wished I could fly. Then I could go to a new spot where life might unfold with happier moments and friendlier days. And less tension. And less strife. With feathers of hope.
