This month we have two granddaughters graduating high school. How is that possible? Exciting for them … surreal for us. It was just yesterday we held tiny bundles in our arms welcoming them to the world … catching them as they took their first steps … searching for Easter eggs with them … attending recitals. I know many of you have graduations this month also, so get out the hankies!
So where does the time go? Just yesterday I couldn’t wait to turn 18 … at 30 it started passing much too fast. This life God gives us is fleeting and must not be taken for granted.
When you’re young no one wants to be reminded our days on this earth are numbered. It made a difference for me to savor each day after my brother was suddenly killed in a hunting accident. That’s an all-too-common occurrence to people these days.
