Two DeKalb High School students will be serving as 2023 Texas FFA Foundation ambassadors.
Thomas Baird and Mackenzie Arnold were two of the 69 students selected to serve as ambassadors for 95th annual Texas FFA Convention which will be held in July in Dallas. This group was selected from among the more than 170,000 Future Farmers of America students across the state.
“I think it’s a really big honor for DeKalb to have not one, but two ambassadors at the state convention,” said Kayla Gray, DeKalb FFA advisor. “They are going to get to work with a lot of people they probably would have never come across and potential employers.They’re getting the chance to put their name out there and to be able to put this on their resumes. I think this will really further their education in FFA.”
