Isaiah 42:9, “Behold, the former things have come to pass, and the new things I declare; before they spring forth I will tell you of them.” (NKJV)

To complete the destiny that God has on your life, you must allow the past to stay in the past. You can’t think about past circumstances. You must forgive people who hurt you and when you were overlooked and let it all go. You must set your gaze upon God and the future that He has for you. The third word in Isaiah 42:9 is the word former. Former has 3 similar meanings that I want to share with you.

The first definition of former means most. The former things of our life are the ones that we generally tend to think about the most. People who dwell on the things of the past usually deal with opression and depression.
