BOYD WAYNE BURNS

Boyd passed away on Friday, September 8,2023 in Texarkana at a local hospital. Boyd was 77 years old.

Boyd was born on November 20, 1945 in DeKalb, Texas to Floyd and Elizabeth Burns. Boyd was retired from RRAD. Boyd enjoyed junking, looking for a treasure, and gun trading with friends, always making new friends in his adventures. He never passed up a garage sale. Boyd was a Baptist by faith.

Boyd was preceded in death by both parents and one brother, Tommy Gerald Burns.

Boyd is survived by his wife Karen (Hazel) Burns, his sisters Francis Duncan of Iowa Park, Tx, Debra Kay Stewart of Dawson, Tx. And Pamela Burns of Wichita Falls, Tx. Two brothers James Danny Burns of Omaha, Tx and Jackie Lynn Burns of DeKalb, Tx.

Boyd and Karen have one daughter, Mariah Amiko Luke, and her husband Sam Luke of New Boston, Tx.

Boyd lived to make his wife and daughter happy. He loved to have friends and family to come visit. Boyd was a wonderful man.

A memorial service will be held September 30 at 2 p.m. at Red Bayou Methodist Church located on Hwy. 8 North about 1 mile north of I-30.
