Turner’s Army Surplus celebrated 70 years in business back in July of this year and has long been a site for travelers on I-30 as they pass by and see the jet along the frontage road. The business was originally opened seven decades ago by George Turner. Ronnie Turner, George’s son began working at the business at a very early age and would eventually take over its operation. Ronnie had a heart attack and passed away in September prompting the end of an era. The store announced Monday that all new items are now marked down 30% and used items will be discounted 50 percent.
