TC’s Palmer Library celebrates 60 years of service

The Texarkana College Palmer Memorial Library celebrated their 60th year as a federal depository library.

Texarkana College is part of the US Government Publishing Office’s Federal Depository Library Program which provides federal documents available to the public. “We are proud to be one of two locations in this area to host these documents from the government. Texarkana College has been a part of the program for 60 years,” said Emily Ransom, assistant director of the Palmer Library.

“We receive all of these documents from the government publishing office, then we catalog them, put in our collection and have them available for people to use during open hours.”
