The New Boston Lions Club met for lunch last Tuesday and had Scott Norton, the executive director of Tex Americas Center, as their keynote speaker. Norton gave those in attendance a brief overview of the early beginnings ofTexAmericas and the current activities, including plans for a solar farm project and upgrades to the existing rail lines. Club members paused to honor one of its own as Ronnie Looney was recognized with a presentation of his 50-year pin. The Milestone Chevron Award is presented to Lions Club International members whose numerous years of service have touched the lives of many in their community. Tribune photo by Kenny Mitchell
