JESSICA RAE BURGIN

Jessica Rae Burgin of De Kalb, Texas passed away Saturday, January 20, 2024 at a Dallas, Texas hospital.

She was 41.

Jessica was born March 15, 1982 in New Boston, Texas to Billy Dean Eubanks and Ellen McMichael Eubanks.

She attended Grayson County College and received her degree from Texas A&M University. Jessica was the first girls Athletic Director for De Kalb ISD. She was a member of Maranatha Christian Center. Jessica was steadfast in her faith and was a shining example of God’s love. She will be missed by so many and the memories of those she touched will be cherished.

She was preceded in death by grandparents, William T. “Bill” McMichael and Hoyt and Winona Eubanks.

She is survived by her husband, Cody Burgin of De Kalb, Texas; her parents, Billy Eubanks of Waller, Texas and Ellen Eubanks of De Kalb, Texas; her grandmother, Martha McMichael of De Kalb, Texas; two sons, Alan “AJ” Burgin and Maddux Burgin both of De Kalb, Texas; two daughters, Georgia Rae Burgin and Landry Burgin both of De Kalb, Texas; two sisters and their spouses, Cassie and Bill Raulston of De Kalb, Texas and Deana Eubanks and Meghan Fisher of Kingwood, Texas; one brother and his wife, Drew and Ashlea Eubanks of De Kalb, Texas; several cousins, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews; other relatives and friends.

Services will be 1:00 P.M. Friday, January 26, 2024 at the De Kalb High School Gymnasium with Rev. Steve McMichael. Interment will follow at Spring Hill Cemetery in De Kalb, Texas.

Visitation will be held 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. Wednesday, January 24, 2024 at Maranatha Christian Center in De Kalb, Texas.

Memorials may be made to the Jessica Burgin Scholarship Fund, c/o De Kalb ISD, 101 Maple St., De Kalb, TX 75559 Online registration at www.batesfamilyfuneralhome.com.
