THELMA MORENE SATTERFIELD

Thelma Morene Satterfield, age 97, of Hooks, Texas, passed away on Saturday, March 2, 2024, at her residence. Mrs. Satterfield was born on April 8, 1926, in Simms, Texas to Andrew “Hobby” and Rosie Johnson.

She was a homemaker and a member of First Baptist Church, Hooks, Texas.

She was preceded in death by her husband, A. Leon Satterfield; and a son, Ronald “Ronnie” A. Satterfield.

Survivors include one daughter and son-in-law, Marsha and Jack Neville; one daughter-in-law, Debbie Satterfield, all of Hooks, Texas; four grandsons and three granddaughters- in-law, Tracy Neville of Arlington, Texas, Robbie and Maggie Neville of Little Elm, Texas, Shane and Donna Satterfield of Hooks, Texas, Scott and Angie Satterfield of Red Lick, Texas; two granddaughters and grandsonsin- law, Wendy and Paul Cadell of Hot Springs, Arkansas, Shelly and Clif Hanes of Hooks, Texas; nineteen great grandchildren; eighteen great-great grandchildren; one brother and sister-in-law, Harold and Marzelle Johnson of Lone Star, Texas; a number of nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM on Wednesday, March 6, 2024, at Bates-Rolf Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Roy Ford, Bro. Grant Sutton, and Bro. Kevin Schutte officiating. Interment will be in Chapelwood Memorial Gardens, Nash, Texas, under the direction of Bates-Rolf Funeral Home. Visitation will be Tuesday, March 5, 2024, from 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM at Bates-Rolf Funeral Home.

Memorials can be made to First Baptist Church, Hooks, Texas – 210 Wilder Street (P.O. Box 957) – Hooks, Texas 75561.
