Bowie County man arrested for Possession of Child Pornography

The Bowie County Sheriff’s Office received a cybertip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC) that originally went to the Texarkana Texas Police Department. It was learned that the suspected address for the offense occurred outside of the city limits and fell under the jurisdiction of the Bowie County Sheriff’s Office.

The tip included an image of apparent child pornography. A subpoena was issued to determine the subscriber information for the device used to download the image. Investigators were able to determine the suspect to be Nicholas Andrew Wiltshire. A second cybertip from NCMEC revealed 11 more images of suspected child pornography downloaded by the same suspect. Further investigation revealed hundreds more images and dozens of videos of depicted child pornography.

On 3-7-2024, Bowie County Sheriff’s Office and Texarkana, TX Police Investigators executed a search warrant on the residence of Nicholas Wiltshire. Electronic devices were recovered and are being forensically processed.

Wilshire was arrested and booked into the Bi State Jail for the offense of Possession of Child Pornography <=50 Depictions or Video with his bond set at $50,000.00.
