BENNY LEE BRAZIER

Benny Lee Brazier passed away Sunday, March 10, 2024 at his home in De Kalb, Texas. He was 81.

Benny was born March 13, 1942, in Kaufman, Texas, to J.R. and Nettie Pearl Moore Brazier. On November 6, 2010, he was married to Johnnie Nell Hays in the Springhill Community. He was a retired Mechanic Assembler for Ingersoll Rand where he worked for 29 years. Benny was past Worshipful Master of De Kalb Masonic Lodge #9 and Avery Masonic Lodge #921, Past Worthy Patron of the Avery Order of the Eastern Star #252 and was a member of Texas Baptist Mens Disaster Relief. He was a member of Bar Nun Cowboy Ministries in Omaha, Texas.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a wife, Janice Brazier; a son, Benny Lee Brazier, Jr.; a daughter, Gloria Ann Fowler; a brother, Darrell Ray Brazier; and an uncle, Luther Brazier.

He is survived by his wife, Johnnie Brazier of De Kalb, Texas; two sons and daughters-in-law, James and Kim Brazier of Waxahachie, Texas and Gene and Sharon Brazier of Corsicana, Texas; a daughter and son-in-law, Kay and Billy Steelman of De Kalb, Texas; 10 grandchildren; several great grandchildren and numerous other relatives and friends.

Services will be 2:00 PM Tuesday, March 12, 2024 at Bates Family Funeral Home in De Kalb, Texas with Bro. Dwaine Higgins officiating. Interment will follow at Avery Cemetery in Avery, Texas.

Visitation will be held from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM Tuesday, March 12, 2024 at Bates Family Funeral Home in De Kalb, Texas.
