JOHN C MCCORT

John C. McCort, 72, of New Boston, Texas, passed away on March 5, 2024, at his home in New Boston. He was born on October 26, 1951, in Malvern, Ohio to Charles and Margaret McCort. He was a retired Army Veteran, and attended Daniels Chapel Methodist Church.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Cecilia; step-son, Anthony Kennedy; and his parents.

He is survived by half-brother, James Mc-Cort of Malvern, Ohio; sisters, Charlotte Zuspann of Baggs, Wyoming; Suzanne (Dale) Hamilton; brothers, Ronald McCort, and Kenneth (Sherry) McCort, all of Carrollton, Ohio; two brothers-in-law, Charles Kennedy and Deland Kennedy; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, March 13, 2024, at 1:00 PM at Bates-Rolf Funeral Home in New Boston, Texas, with Pastor C.J. Tillinghast officiating. Military Services and Interment will follow at Avery Cemetery in Avery, Texas.

In lieu of flowers, donations in John’s memory may be sent to Daniels Chapel Global Methodist Church, 3790 County Road 3110, DeKalb, TX 75559 or The American Legion of New Boston, 1950 HWY 82 W, New Boston, TX 75570.
