GARY GRAY MCGILL

Gary Gray McGill of De Kalb, Texas passed away Sunday, March 10 , 2024 at a Texarkana, Texas hospital.

He was 85.

Gary was born December 11, 1938 in De Kalb, Texas to Richard and Ruby Giles McGill. He was a retired supervisor for Red River Army Depot. Gary enjoyed fishing and playing dominoes and cards. He was a member of First Baptist Church in De Kalb. Gary was also a member of the Amazing Grays and the Tuesday Prayer Breakfast at the First United Methodist Church.

He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Helen Richardson and Delma Rae Seidel; and four brothers, Glenn McGill, Richard McGill, Michael McGill, and Howard McGill.

He is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Grayson and Darla McGill of De Kalb, Texas and Paul Brandon and Stacy McGill of Coppell, Texas; one daughter and son-inlaw, Marla J. And Heath Nichols of Waxahachie, Texas; one sister-in-law, Eva Dell McGill of De Kalb, Texas; ten grandchildren, Preston Davis and his wife, Ashlee, Chloe Stjepanovic and her husband, Nikola, Ethan Nichols, Monica Porter and her husband, Quincy, Nathan McGill, Nickolas McGill, Isabella McGill, J McGill, Gianna Mc-Gill, and Julianna McGill; four great grandchildren, Magdalena Stjepanovic, Luka Stjepanovic, Cavin McGill, and Maximus Porter; and numerous other relatives and friends. Memorial services will be held 11:00 A.M. Saturday, March 16, 2024 at Bates Family Funeral Home in De Kalb, Texas with Rev. Steve Minter officiating.

Visitation will be held 10:00 A.M. to 11:00 A.M. Saturday, March 16, 2024 at Bates Family Funeral Home in De Kalb.
