RUBY MAE (MCCRIGHT) (HOLT) KIRKLAND

Ruby Mae (McCright) (Holt) Kirkland, age 94, of New Boston, Texas, passed away on Saturday, March 30, 2024, at a local nursing home.

She was born on December 18, 1929, in New Boston, Texas to Jospeh “Joe” Welton and Cora Alice (Hanna) McCright.

Ms. Kirkland was a homemaker and was a member of Old Salem Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Marion “Bud” Holt; and her daughter, Vallery (Holt) Watson.

Left to cherish her memory is her son and daughter-inlaw, Stanley and Caroline Holt of Fort Smith, Arkansas; her son-in-law, Kenneth Watson of New Boston, Texas; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren; one sister, Margaret Yates of New Mexico; one brother, Joseph McCright of Texarkana, Texas; and a number of other relatives and friends.

Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, April 6, 2024, at 2:00 PM at Old Salem Baptist Church – New Boston, Texas with Bro. Sean Holt officiating.

Visitation will be held on Friday, April 5, 2024, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM the day before the service at Bates-Rolf Funeral Home – New Boston, Texas. Interment will be in Old Salem Cemetery – New Boston, Texas under the direction of Bates-Rolf Funeral Home – New Boston.
