PEGGY JEAN MCGREGOR

Peggy Jean McGregor passed away Sunday, April 7, 2024 at her home in Avery, Texas. She was 86.

Peggy was born March 20, 1938, in De Kalb, Texas, to Lester Seldon and Alma Barton Evans Morrison. She was a retired Home Health Care Aide. Peggy loved her family and being a source of comfort to those in need.

She was proud of and grateful for her marriage and her children. She was a caretaker to extended family and friends and a mother figure to some. She opened up her home to family and friends and believed that if she had food to eat, that she could share it with another so no one would go hungry.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Kenneth McGregor; a granddaughter, Meredith McGregor; two brothers, Larry and Dick Morrison; and a daughter-in-law, Kim McGregor. She is survived by thee sons and two daughters-in-law, Mark McGregor of Arlington, Texas, Dennis and Mary McGregor of Benbrook, Texas and Steven and Regina McGregor of Avery, Texas; three brothers and a sisterin- law, Jim Morrison of Mineola, Texas, Ben Morrison of Nashville, Tennessee and Joe and Suzie Morrison of Keller, Texas; five grandchildren and their spouses, Joshua and Tiffany Webster of Texarkana, Texas, Megan and Jason Moxon of Ocala, Florida, Matthew and Brittany McGregor of Apopa, Florida, Raven and Jarrett Turner of Simms, Texas and Blaze and Autumn McGregor of Bloomburg, Texas; two great grandchildren, Clayton Dugger of Bloomburg, Texas and Rook Turner of Simms, Texas; and numerous other relatives and friends.

Memorial Graveside Services will be 2:00 P.M. Saturday, April 13, 2024 at West Bowie Cemetery in De Kalb, Texas.
