Red Lick ISD hires Fowler as new MS principal

Red Lick ISD has named Mr. Zach Fowler as their new middle school principal to start the
2024-2025 school year. Mr. Fowler has been the high school principal in Simms ISD for the last two
years.

Zach is a graduate of Leadership Texarkana and has previously won the Texas Association of
Secondary School Principals’ Region 8 Outstanding Junior High Assistant Principal of the Year.
Mr. Fowler is married to Kirby Fowler and they have two boys that have been attending Red Lick ISD.

Red Lick Superintendent, Brandon Dennard, commented on the hiring of Mr. Fowler, “Zach is a great
guy with a great heart. He has been an assistant principal at the middle school level for both Texarkana
ISD and Pleasant Grove ISD, so he understands the emotional and educational needs of students that
age. Zach was the principal at James Bowie High School, so he also understands the “many hats” and
full scope of the responsibilities of the principal position. We are really excited about Zach joining “The
Herd.”

Mr. Fowler considers himself “a passionate educator with a love for learning and growing in our ever-
changing educational system.” He also said, “Throughout my years of experience as a classroom teacher, coach, assistant principal, and high school principal I have learned that one thing we can always count on in education is change. Welcoming this change is a chance to continually learn and
grow as a professional in an effort to empower every student, every day to reach their full potential.”

Mr. Fowler will begin on June 3rd.
