Fouche named as new Director of Curriculum and Instruction at Redwater ISD

Redwater Independent School District is pleased to announce the appointment of Erica Fouche as the new Director of Curriculum & Instruction.

Fouche comes to RISD from Genoa Central School District where she has served the past two years as Principal of Genoa Central Elementary. Prior to moving to Genoa Central School District, Fouche was Principal of Maud Elementary School from 2017 – 2022. Other educational experience includes 10 years with Texarkana Arkansas School District as a teacher, Gifted & Talented Coordinator, Campus and Instructional Facilitator, Magnet Coordinator and Coordinator of Academic Success. Fouche was also with Liberty Eylau ISD as an Elementary Teacher and with Texarkana ISD as the Coordinator of Academic Success for the Westlawn Elementary campus.

“With a wealth of experience spanning 19 years in the field of education, we are excited to bring Mrs. Fouche’s knowledge and passion to RISD,” said Dr. Kelly Burns, RISD Superintendent of Schools. “Her dedication to fostering a nurturing and impactful learning environment is evident in her previous tenure as a campus principal.”

As part of her duties, Fouche will oversee Federal Programs and serve as the District Testing Coordinator.

She holds a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education from Texas A&M University – Texarkana and a Master of Education in Gifted and Talented Education from Southern Arkansas University. Additionally, Fouche has her Superintendent’s License, Principal Certification, Principal Licenses for EC-12, and a Gifted and Talented Certification for P-8.
