CHARLENE RUBY PYNES

Charlene Ruby Pynes of De Kalb, Texas passed away Sunday, June 16, 2024 at a Texarkana, Texas hospital.

She was 92.

Charlene was born September 1, 1931 in Horatio, Arkansas to Charles and Ruby Reagan Winchell. She had worked for Tidwell’s Flowers and was a member of Big Woods Community Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Thurman O. Pynes; one son, Danny Pynes; and two brothers, Charles Winchell and Walter Winchell.

She is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Ronnie and Cheryl Pynes of Grants, New Mexico and Barry and Jemalyn Pynes of De Kalb, Texas; two sisters-in-law, Beverly Telford Winchell and Dalene Winchell; seven grandchildren, Darrell Pynes, Danielle Latoof, Shone Pynes, Wade Pynes, Ross Pynes, Haley Berry, and Kye Pynes; twelve great grandchildren; and numerous other relatives and friends.

Services will be 11:00 A.M. Saturday, June 22, 2024 at Bates Family Funeral Home in De Kalb, Texas with Rev. James Boyd Strain and Rev. Billy Hooker officiating. Interment will follow at Big Woods Cemetery in De Kalb, Texas.

Visitation will be held 10:00 A.M. to 11:00 A.M. Saturday, June 22, 2024 at Bates Family Funeral Home in De Kalb, Texas.

Memorials may be made Dierksen Hospice, 5520 Plaza Dr., Texarkana, TX 75503.
