JO ANN HALL

Jo Ann Hall, 87 of New Boston, Texas passed away at home on June 21, 2024. Jo Ann was born September 4, 1936, to Curtis H. Starnes and Opal C Starnes.

She graduated Salutatorian Class of 1954 from Dekalb High School after marrying the love of her life John F.

Hall. She retired from Red River Army Depot with 25 years of service. Jo Ann was a faithful member of Malta Baptist Church. She was honored to accept MVP of Malta Marvels ladies church softball team in 1980. As a homemaker, she enjoyed many years of gardening, canning, cooking, painting, sewing, 5K’s, square dancing and working in her yard.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 69 years, John F. Hall, her parents Curtis H. Starnes and Opal C. Davis, a brother Orville Buddy Starnes, a son-in-law Jimmy Griffin and a granddaughter Morgan Seals.

Left to cherish her memory are three daughters, Connie Griffin of Simms, Texas, Christy and David Seals of New Boston, Texas and Kimberly and Damond Reed of Aubrey, Texas. Five grandchildren Todd and Rachael Durham, Wade Griffin, Tanner Griffin, Allison Reed, and Heath and Taylor Seals. Five great grandchildren Libby and Trenton Bonner, Landon Durham, Cash Durham, Colton Durham, Kyler Griffin. Two great great grandchildren Blakely Bonner and Barrett Bonner and a number of other relatives and many friends.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, June 25, 2024 at Malta Baptist Church with Bro. Roy Ford, Bro. Todd Reed, and Bro. Kelley Shanks officiating. Interment will be in Woodmen Cemetery, Dekalb Tx under the direction of Bates Rolf Funeral Home, New Boston, Texas. Visitation will be on Monday, June 24, 2024 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the funeral home.
