CYNTHIA “CINDY” WOODARD WALRAVEN

Cynthia “Cindy” Woodard Walraven of De Kalb, Texas passed away Sunday, August 4, 2024 at her home surrounded by her family.

She was 65.

Cindy was born January 29, 1959 in Dallas, Texas to John Thomas and Vernie Woodard. She was retired from the United States Postal Service in De Kalb after many years of faithful service. Cindy enjoyed camping, fishing, working in the yard, and spending time with her family.

She married John, her husband of 44 years, on June 10, 1977. From their union, they were blessed with two children.

She is preceded in death by her husband, John Walraven and her father, John Thomas Woodard.

She is survived by her children, Michelle Limbock and her husband, Josh of Clarksville, Texas, and Wes Walraven and his wife, Allie of Avery, Texas; six grandchildren, Kaden and Kason Kelsoe, Tara and Addison Limbock, Cameron Rutan, and Morgan Walraven; her mother Vernie Woodard; sisters, Carol Dean and Connie Higgs and her husband, Eddie, all of De Kalb, Texas; special friends, Dustin and Jennie Williams; caregiver, Brooke Queen; and numerous other family members and friends.

Graveside services will be 10:00 A.M. Wednesday, August, 7, 2024 at Old Salem Cemetery in New Boston, Texas with David Woodard officiation.

Visitation will be held 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. Tuesday, August 6, 2024 at Bates Family Funeral Home in De Kalb, Texas.
