BONNIE RODGERS

Bonnie Rodgers of De Kalb, Texas passed away Wednesday August 14, 2024 at a Texarkana, Texas care facility. She was 91.

Bonnie was born April 9, 1933 in De Kalb, Texas to Ober and Myrtle Cox Duncan. She was a homemaker who loved baking for the community. Bonnie was a member of De Kalb Church of Christ.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Carlos Rodgers; two brothers, Al Duncan and Ronnie Duncan; two sisters, Martha Windle and Mildred Bell; two grandchildren, Landon Rodgers and Katie Eager; and one daughter-in-law, Annette Rodgers.

She is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Tommy and Laura Rodgers of Longview, Texas; two daughters and one son-in-law, Carla and Keenan Howard of De Kalb, Texas and Tammy Rodgers of De Kalb, Texas; two brothers and two sisters-in-law, Tom and Frances Duncan of Iowa Park, Texas and David and Gloria Duncan of Mt. Pleasant, Texas; three sisters-in-law, Bernice Crouch, Jo Gunter, and Robin Duncan; five grandchildren, Lindsey Blanchard and her husband, Brad, Ryan Howard and his fiancé, Victoria Hewitt, Alyssa Beach and her husband, Michael, Taylor Eager and his wife, Haley, and David Howard; fifteen great grandchildren; many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

Private graveside services will be provided by Bates Family Funeral Home in De Kalb, Texas.

Mrs. Bonnie will lie in state at Bates Family Funeral Home Friday, August 16, 2024.

Memorials may be made to Spring Hill Cemetery Association.
