New Boston Class of 1974 to celebrate 50th with reunion

The New Boston High School Class of 1974 will be celebrating their 50-year reunion in October with a weekend filled with events and opportunities to make new memories.

The class will celebrate 50 years on Friday, October 18 and Saturday, October 19, 2024 with the motto of “We’ll be great forevermore, Senior Class of 1974.”

On Friday, the 18th, the class will attend the Lions home game as New Boston takes on Queen City. The Class of 1974 will be recognized during the game. The class will meet at the “Old Main” entrance (the façade of the old high school building) at 6:30 p.m.

On Saturday, the 19th, the Class of 1974 will enjoy a time of dinner, visiting and dancing at Elk Meadow Game Ranch. ElkMeadow is located at 382 PR 42042, alongside Interstate 30.

The night’s activities will include a meal of BBQ brisket and chicken and will be BYOB. Entertainment and music to dance by will be provided by The Shelton Band. The dinner starts at 6 p.m.

Costs for Friday night is just the cost of a ticket to get into the game, and you can pay at the gate. Saturday night’s dinner at ElkMeadow is $50.00 Lodging for the weekend of events includes the New Boston Holiday Inn where a block of rooms have been reserved. Reservations must be made two weeks prior to the event. The number for the Holiday Inn is 903-6287805. Quality Inn is also available, and their number is 903-628-6999.
