TAMARA KAY SMITH

Tamara Kay Smith, born on May 2, 1951, in Thayer, Missouri, passed away peacefully on January 8, 2025. She was the beloved daughter of Joseph and Virginia Way.

Tamara was the devoted wife of Larry Steve Smith who preceded her in his death and a loving mother to her three children: Mylinda Perry, Anthony Smith, and Jesse Smith. She was also a proud grandmother to eight grandchildren: Steven Malone, Shontal Estell, Nathaniel Estell, Caleb Smith, Dani Smith, Taylor Smith, Kayley Smith, and Collin Smith , and a number of great grandchildren. Her family brought her immense joy and were the center of her life.

A resident of New Boston, Texas, since 1992, Known to everyone in town as Grandma; Tamara embraced her community with warmth and enthusiasm. She had a passion for sports and could often be found cheering on her favorite teams. She also enjoyed playing bingo and spending quality time with her family.

Tamara’s vibrant spirit and love for life will be deeply missed by all who knew her. May her memory bring comfort to those she leaves behind.

Service will be held at 301 NE Front St, New Boston, TX 75570 at 2:00pm on Sunday January 19th at the New Boston Community Center.
