CHRISTANA MCCRARY

Christana McCrary, 100, of De Kalb, Texas, passed away peacefully on May 9, 2025 at her home. She was born November 18, 1924, in De Kalb, Texas, to the late Autie Easter and Leaola Hill Easter. To this union, eight children were born. All preceded her in death.

She united in marriage to the late Luther McCrary, on December 24, 1939, and to this union they had 10 children. Two children and one sonin- law preceded her in death, James Zell McCrary, Willie James McCrary, and Gregory Harris.

Christana McCrary was a loving wife, grandmother, great-grandmother, and homemaker. She was a faithful member of Oak Ridge Baptist Church for many years.

She leaves to cherish her memories, four daughters, Dorothy L. Smith of Caddo Mills, Texas, Luther M. Toliver (Roger) of De Kalb, Texas, Loist D. Bennett (Louis) of Duarte, California, and Carolyn J. Harris of De Kalb, Texas; four sons, Wesley G. McCrary of Stanford, Texas, Gary D. McCrary of De Kalb, Texas, Chester R. McCrary of Foreman, Arkansas, and Danny R. McCrary of De Kalb, Texas; and a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren, who knew her a “Memaw” Graveside services will be 2:00 P.M. Saturday, May 17, 2025 at Oak Ridge Cemetery in De Kalb, Texas.

Visitation will be held from 1:00 P.M. to 2:00 P.M. Saturday, May 17, 2024 at Bates Family Funeral Home in De Kalb, Texas.
