It is with heavy hearts that we announce the loss of Paula Diane Woodley, age 75, of Simms, Texas, who passed away on May 15, 2025 peacefully in her home surrounded by family. Paula had a servant’s heart, she was a devoted mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt and friend who touched the lives of many.
She was born on November 10, 1949 in Naples, Texas to Lester and Lucille Tidwell.
Paula worked tirelessly as a nurse for over 20 years. She was a go-getter and was never scared to chase her dreams. She served as the founder, owner, and administrator of Infinity Home Health Services, LLC located in Simms, Texas. This was her true calling – she loved caring for others and gave her all to her business.
She was a woman of God and found strength in His presence daily. Many sought after her virtue and kindness, and she never met a stranger. Paula loved being with family, she was at every milestone and event, she treasured her daughter and grandchildren dearly.
She found happiness in the outdoors – looking for rocks, riding her side by side, checking on her cattle, and admiring the beauty of this life.
She is preceded in death by her parents, one sister, Valeta Mears and one nephew, Mark Mears.
Paula is survived by one daughter and son-in-law: Diane and Donny Walker of New Boston, Texas, four grandchildren: Karley and Mitchell Hoskins of Simms, Texas, Kanon Walker and Mary of New Boston, Texas, Kutter and Jaycee Walker of Simms, Texas, and Khloe Walker of New Boston, Texas. “Grand” as known by many – loved hard, anyone who knew her could feel it. Her family was her world and she made sure they were okay before she left this earth. The family is comforted in knowing that she is now walking the streets of gold with her Jesus.
Though she may be gone too soon, Grand’s legacy will live on forever in our hearts.
