DONNA ELAINE CULPEPPER

Donna Elaine Culpepper, age 62, of De Kalb, Texas, passed away on June 19, 2025.

Donna was born on October 27, 1962, to Carel Wayne and Geneva Sue Abernathy Culpepper. She dedicated much of her life to service, retiring as a correctional officer from the Texas Department of Criminal Justice Cole Unit in Bonham, Texas.

She also worked at URS at Red River Army Depot. She was currently employed at Lesco, which was her favorite job of all. Donna was a woman of faith and attended Siloam Baptist Church in Simms, Texas.

She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Steve Culpepper.

Donna is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Brad and Rockelle Culpepper of Avery, Texas, and Tim and Daisey Green of Maud, Texas; two sisters, Terri Hobbs (Hobbie) of Elgin, South Carolina, and Janice Penny (Conway) of De Kalb, Texas. She was a proud and devoted grandmother to seven grandchildren, Dodge, Quinton, Stetson and Reins Culpepper, and Korbin, Dakota, and Shelby Green. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, June 25, 2025, at Bates Family Funeral Home in De Kalb, Texas, with Brother Steve Minter officiating. Interment will follow at Wards Creek Cemetery in Simms, Texas.

Donna will be remembered for her strength, kindness, and deep love for her family.
