DeKalb For the first time since 2011, the DeKalb Bears beat Paul Pewitt. Several Bears had outstanding performances including Winky Williams who rushed 12 times for 170 yards and three touchdowns. Williams also had 15 tackles and caused a fumble for the Bears. Xavier Hawkins put up 20 tackles for the Bears and had one 34 yard reception. Ross Tapley has 2 receptions for 108 yards and a touchdown. Tapley also had 17 tackles on the night. Kiondre Schlesinger had 15 tackles and an 80 yard kickoff return. The Bears held a Brahma offense average around 48 points per game to only 27 points in the 39-27 victory.
Hooks The Hooks Hornets had a productive night in their 41-7 win over Chisum. Quarterback Trip Baysinger completed 6 of 7 passes for 78 yards and three touchdowns while rushing twice for 15 yards. Keyshawn Walls rushed 11 times for 180 yards and two touchdowns. Walls also had one 15 yard touchdown reception. Matthew Hayes had a 12 yard touchdown reception and Jatavious Johnson had a 13 yard touchdown reception. Ripken Birdwell rushed 4 times for 19 yards and a touchdown. The Hornets totaled 386 yard offensively and held Chisum to 160 yards and one score on the night.
