New Boston The New Boston Lions improved to 4-4 after their week 9 matchup against Prairiland. The Lions totaled 351 total yards of offense. Jeremiah Hardeman had another big week for the Lions with 9 carries for 54 yards and 3 touchdowns. Jomar Smith had 7 carries for 90 yards and a touchdown. Quarterback Xavier Rowden completed 6 of 8 passes for 65 yards while rushing for 10 yards and one touchdown. Defensively, Jalen Smith had 2 pick-sixes and a fumble recovery. Kaden Hall had 10 tackles overall, 3 tackles for a loss, a forced fumble and recovery and an interceptions for the Lions. The game ended with New Boston on top, 56-20.
DeKalb
The DeKalb Bears are now 7-1 and have not allowed a touchdown since playing Paul Pewitt on October 7th. The Bear Defense produced another shutout, this time over Chisum. Ross Tapley and Tyler Hawkins each had 13 tackles on the night. Cory Ingram put up 11 tackles. Offensively, the Bears ran only 30 plays as the Chisum game clock ran nonstop the entire game. Kaleb Dooley threw a 21 yard touchdown pass to Kiondre Schlesigner. Schlesigner also rushed 24 times for 286 yards and 2 touchdowns. Kayden Wherry rushed 8 times for 102 yards and one touchdown. Final score 30-0.
