New Boston The New Boston Lions fell in their week 4 matchup against the Winnsboro Raiders. The Lions ran the ball 58 times for a total of 280 yards and one touchdown by Demetrius McChester. DeKalb The DeKalb Bears had a bounceback victory in their matchup against the Harmony Eagles. The Bears rushed for 379 yards on 47 carries and completed 5/10 passes for 102 yards. Amar Love rushed 13 times for 190 yards and two touchdowns. Kaydn Wherry had 7 carries for 69 yards and a pair of touchdowns. Winky Williams had 8 carries for 33 yards, one reception for 39 yards and a touchdown. Xavier Hawkins had 2 touchdowns, one rushing and one Kick-off-return. Defensively the Bears had some impressive stats as well. Ross Tapley has 12 tackles and one sack, 1 caused fumble. Amar Love had 11 tackles, one TFL, a sack and a fumble recovery with a 25 yard run. Kiondre Schleslinger also had a fumble recovery, his return for a touchdown. The game ended with a final score of 47-33, Bears over Eagles.
Maud The Maud Cardinals lost to Harleton in their week 4 matchup. Quarterback Devin Myrtle threw a 83 yard touchdown pass to Johnson and Cason Leavett had a 2yd touchdown run. These would be the Cardinals only scores of the night. James Bowie The James Bowie Pirates dropped to 2-2 after a tough road loss to Honey Grove. The Pirates were held to 85 yards on 35 carries. Lane Johnson was the leading rusher for the Pirates, 18 carries for 50 yards. The only points the Pirates would earn were from a 60 yards kick-off-return by Tyner Melton. Redwater The Redwater Dragons improved to 2-2 after a 14-7 victory over New Diana. Quarterback Gavin Carrell had 8/16 and 91 yards. The Dragons rushed for 104 yards on 32 carries and one touchdown by Nick Farrar. The Dragons also scored on a Kickoff return by Marquez Jones. Defensively, Cooper Thomspson had a big game for the Dragons, getting in on 17 tackles, 4 of which were solo. David McKeever had a big game as well with 11 total tackles, 9 of which were solo.
