Coach Buddy Griffin and the DeKalb Bears are coming into the 2022-23 season with their minds set on a deep run in the playoffs as they return 9 on the offensive side of the ball and 8 on the defensive side.
2021-2022 1st team all district quarterback Caleb Dooley returns as the starter for the Bears. “We do not throw the football much but when we do it usually results in a big play,” said Griffin. “Dooley is a great runner and operates the option very well.”
All state honorable mention junior RB Winky Williams is looking forward to another outstanding season coming off of over 1800 yards and 22 TDs and 100 tackles and 3 interceptions.
