A familiar face in Bowie County sports has just become a DeKalb Bear for the first time.
Long-time James Bowie Softball Coach Charles Hudgeons recently accepted a position as Offensive and Defensive Line Coach as well as an assistant coaching position for the Lady Bears softball team and a position teaching world history at DeKalb High School.
“I am happy to say I will begin my 25th year of coaching as a DeKalb Bear,” said Hudgeons. “DeKalb ISD has a great reputation and we are very excited to move back to this area; this is where my wife and I wanted to be.”
