This year could be the year that the New Boston faithful see a return to glory for their Lions with a new district, a new coach, and some key players that are ready to make their mark on District 10-3A DII.
New Lions head coach and athletic director Jody Littleton will take to the new turf in New Boston after coming from Kennedale, Texas where he served as the defensive coordinator, strength and conditioning coordinator and head powerlifting coach. During his time there, his aggressive defense forced 30 shutouts and ranked at the top of the state for points allowed.
In 2022, Littleton tells the Tribune that his goals for the Lions are to improve with every snap and be better today than they were yesterday.
