Late inning heroics paved the way to a win for the New Boston Lady Lions as they celebrated Senior Night last night in New Boston, and it was the seniors that brought the fireworks.
Trailing 1-0 in the bottom of the 6th inning, a solo homerun off the bat of senior Maggie Taylor tied things up heading into the final frame.
Then in their half of the 7th, Hannah Crook, Emma Holland and Abrianna Scott loaded the bases and set the stage for senior Lauren Hurst. On a 2-2 count and after fighting off a couple of pitches, Hurst rapped a single into center field bringing in a pair of runs and handing the Lady Lions a walk-off win in their final game of the season.
