The New Boston Lady Lions started their 2021 season off with a loud roar as they knocked off the James Bowie Lady Pirates 11-1 in Simms.
It was a night for the senior leaders to shine, as hurler Lauren Hurst started her season by tossing a no-hitter. Hurst struck out eight and allowed just one unearned run.
At the plate, fellow seniors Maggie Taylor and Haley McAlexander each had three hits in the contest, and Taylor had four RBI’s and scored three times.
