Softball takes to tournament play this week

In tournament action this week:

The New Boston Lady Lions split a pair of games on Thursday, beating Paris Chisum 16-5 in their early game and then dropping a nail-biter to Chapel Hill in the afternoon 4-3 in extra innings.

In the win over the Lady Mustangs, Lauren Hurts earned the win on the hill for New Boston, and the Lady Lions put the game away early scoring 10 runs in the 2^nd inning. Hurst, Lauren Daniel, Emma Holland, Abrianna Scott, Victoria Burns and Maggie Taylor each accounted for RBI’s in the frame.
